Jesse grew up in Boston, Mass. She received an MA in documentary film from NYU. Jesse was recently selected for "25 New Faces of Independent Film" by Filmmaker Magazine.

For three years she instructed Reel Stories: Sundance's Youth Documentary Workshop. With a grant from Chicken & Egg Pictures, Wet Dreams and False Images, and The Guarantee, are being expanded into a one-hour film about body image and media.
